Dr. Hala Mostafa

Dr. Hala Mostafa currently works at the Al-Ahram Center for Political & Strategic Studies (ACPSS) where she is director of research and editor-in-chief of “Democracy Review”. She also writes for Al-Ahram newspaper and is a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Diplomatic Training of the Egyptian Ministry of Diplomatic Affairs, Nasser Military Academy and the postgraduate department of the Faculty of Economic and Political Science at Cairo University

  • Ph.D. in political science (comparative politics), Cairo University, 1994

Expertise:

Dr. Mostafa has participated in a number of international conferences in Egypt, the United States and Europe. These covered such topics as Islamic fundamentalism, US policy in the Middle East, the effects of globalization, and democratization in the Arab world
