Dr. Al-Ghandour is professor emeritus of
international economics and international economic
law in the Faculty of Economics and Political
Science at Cairo University. His areas of
specialization include economic policy, banking, and
regional cooperation

Dr. Al-Ghandour is chairman of the
Union of Arab Economists, chairman (non-executive)
and member of the board of directors of Egypt Arab
African Bank, and member of the board of directors
of the Central Bank of Egypt. He served as deputy
minister of economy and economic cooperation
(1975-1976), adviser to the prime minister on
economic cooperation (1977-1979), deputy secretary
general of the Council of Arab Economic Unity
(1973-1975), and dean of the Faculty of Economics
and Political Science, Cairo University (1984-1995).

Dr. Al-Ghandour is specialized in
economics and economic analysis. He wrote on topics
like Egypt's investment strategies , assessing the
economic performance, analysis of private and public
sector in the Arab world. His writings also
discussed the regional and domestic arrangements
following the Gulf Crisis
