Having served as deputy prosecutor
general (1953-1956), Dr. Al-Baz began a long career
with the Foreign Ministry where he rose to the
position of first deputy foreign minister. In 1981,
he became director of the President's Office for
Political Affairs. Dr. Al-Baz took part in various
Arab and African summits and in various
international conferences, including those of the
Nonaligned Movement
